KENT DUFFY

OWNER

Kent was born and raised in Colorado. During his time there he spent most of his free time skiing, hunting and enjoying the mountains. He spent 10+ years in Boy Scouts where he eventually gained the rank of Eagle.

One summer, Kent went to a Boy Scout camp in Montana and every day since he wanted to move there. A few years ago, he took on the challenge and moved to Montana to build a better life in a place where he belonged.

Fast forward a few years… Kent was Forman Electrician wiring a concert venue in Bozeman.

Eventually, Covid-19 shut down the project due to a lack of funding. The day Kent was laid off he decided it was time to start his own company. Shortly after, Cu Electric was born.

Present day, you can see him grabbing breakfast at The Western Cafe, skiing at Bridger, or driving a “Cu Electric” Dodge Ram with his two Catahoula’s, Huk and Sadie.

Kent Duffy is the proud owner and fully licensed electrical contractor. Did electrical design for an engineering in Denver, Colorado. Has been an electrician for the past 8 years and licensed for the past 4 years.

He has been living in Montana for the past 3 years and has been a business owner since early 2020.

First discovered Montana when he went to boys out camp when he was 13 and has always considered this place to be his home.

John Duffy is Kent’s brother and is currently in the process of completing his electrical Apprenticeship. He Called his brother one day and asked him if he could move Montana and work for him. He moved to Montana 2 years ago looking for a fresh start and continue his electrical career.
